Spring is here and the weather is warming up and I have a new obsession; stripes! Black and white stripes are my new favorite and I am seeing them everywhere! For a fun Tuesday post I thought I would share with you some of my recent favorite stripe finds! Enjoy!
I am still on cloud nine this morning as I type this blog post. This past weekend I was incredibly blessed and excited to become Mrs. Blair Frederick. 
The weekend was perfect and the rain held off just long enough for us to have our ceremony outside! There are more pictures and details to come, but I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite images today. I don’t know about you, but I remember exactly where I was sanding 11 years ago today when I heard the news. A small group of us were entering our leadership class. We were supposed to be the leaders of the school; student council, FCCLA, etc.; you name it and the president of that organization was in that class. Our teacher, Mrs. Clark, wasn’t in the room when we arrived, but news about the first world trade center had slowly started to fill the halls before our class. Mrs. Clark came into the room, someone informed her about what students were talking about and the next thing you know we were standing in the cafeteria watching the news. Frozen, scared, not exactly sure how to handle what was happening – just watching. I believe that day restored hope in America. In the midst of the largest attack the USA had ever seen complete strangers risked their lives, lent a hand and defined the true meaning of America. So, thank you to the service men and women serving our country, the police and fire men and women who protect us day in and day out, the complete stranger who has come to my side for event the smallest thing. In America we have a bond that only Americans do and I love seeing red, white and blue in the little things. It’s the shoes lined up on the steps, the accents in a room, books stacked upon each other or pretty letterhead that remind me what it is to live where I do. So, in the midst of this crazy life, politics, work or whatever it is you are facing remember what today means, remember to pass on the story of September 11, 2001 and remember where you are and everything we are truly blessed with in our daily lives.

I am a sucker for soft pretty things, and if they are vintage it makes it that much better. This bride is simply stunning. I love her demeanor, gloves, hair, tiny bow details on her dress… what is there not to love. I would pair this bride was a striking, very Gatsby groom and put them in a fabulous clear top garden tented reception. With vintage keys for escort cards and luggage tags as a favor anyone would be silly to miss this wedding. What do you think about this theme for a wedding?
If I might say so myself, I love today’s board! Generally, I am not a big fan of red, but there is something about making it black tie that sophisticates it. Another reason I might like it today is this adorable little red getaway car. Touches of red from bridesmaid dresses to the ribbon on the bridal cake perfect this look. Let’s not forget the block tie! Everything from these simple invitations to the grooms black bow tie, brides black ribbon sash and even these black tie cupcakes are the perfect compliment to each other. So, who’s ready to travel over seas for a fun red, white and black tie wedding?
