Just Plum Pretty

Posted on: No Comments

You know we love to share a little fashion with you on Tuesday’s and today we have what has to be the most beautiful wedding day attire. No, we are not talking about the dress, we are talking about what to wear while you and your girls get ready!

Enter Plum Pretty Sugar! Charlotte Hale not only creates the perfect wedding day attire, but interiors as well. If you don’t believe me just hear what PPS has to say:
“A love of beautiful things combined with an impeccable eye, Charlotte created Plum Pretty Sugar to bring cozy comfort, lovely details and blushing touches to wardrobe, adornment and interiors.”

If that doesn’t make you want to jump over to her beautiful website and order the first thing you lay your eyes on, I don’t know what will. The PPS website is full of gorgeous! Her 3 collections house everything from beautiful bridal robes and apparel to something for your flower girls, junior bridesmaids or the little girl in your life. If you have already been a bride and aren’t in the market for a beautiful robe don’t worry! Her collections include dresses, tunics, shorts, coverups, sleepwear, accessories and more. Still not looking for apparel then check out her interior line. These prints are to-die-for!

We love everything PPS publishes from their Blog to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter! We love even more when our sweet brides wear these beautiful patterns, and we blushed pretty big when we got a sweet note from PPS last night!

Spring is Around the Corner

Posted on: 5 Comments

St. Patrick’s Day is one of those holidays that makes me fall in love all over again with the colors of the celebrated day every year. Who doesn’t love green + gold, and when you put the CLE coral and blush with it we can’t help but love what the final product is.

With Spring just around the corner we are loving this fresh and fun look to run errands in. If the weather were warmer today it would be perfect for our design meeting, linen meeting, rental meeting, catering tasting and flight back to our Houston office to put the final touches on our Ft. Worth wedding!

Are you excited Spring is almost here?

Time to Throw Back

Posted on: No Comments

After last nights throw down it’s time to throw back! I absolutely love this color combination of teal and hot, hot pink. How adorable is the girl in her polka dot tea length dress. I could imagine putting this on, adding some statement lips, jumping in a vintage Cadillac and driving to a store with a fun sign like this! Could you image being from a time where everything was bright and fun with not a care in the world. So today take time to throw back to the days of old. Happy Wednesday!

A Gold Glitter Holiday Party

Posted on: No Comments

Yes, I am finally embracing the holidays (good thing because I have 2 1/2 weeks to shop for Christmas) and I had to start with glitter! Since I now have a fiance :) we have a few holiday parties to go to and of course that means new outfits. I know I should be shopping for everyone else, but let’s face it what girl can resist a fabulous new dress. For my first holiday look I’m beginning with this sequin-embellished dress from The Outnet and pairing it with this Betsy Johnson bow clutch from Bloomingdale’s and these adorable bow earrings. If you are playing host for the evening don’t forget to decorate the outside of your venue. I’m a big fan of white lights, because a little go a long way, and I love this row of trees outside a brick building. If you’re on a budget, or you spent your budget on your outfit, this Etsy Garland is also very DIY friendly. Click on over to Etsy to order yours, or you can find some sparkle paper, cut some circles, squares, triangles or whatever shape you love and glue them to each side of a piece of string. Wah-Lah! I’m a huge fan of edible gold, yes there is such a thing click here, so I would coat my entire cake with it! For favors send guests home with cute little gold reindeer! Happy Holidays!

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Inspired Event

Posted on: 2 Comments

Who says the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show can’t inspire a girl to more than just hitting the gym a few extra hours? The Passion segment opened and the bold, beautiful colors were perfect! (See the inspiration video here.)When angel Candice Swanepoel hit the runway in this piece that was hand embroidered in India I fell in love! It is the perfect blend of bright and feminine, what girl wouldn’t want a party themed after the most expensive piece in the show? I would start by sending out a feminine invitation with a neon accent and envelope liner. I would also enclose some fun neon confetti for guests to know they are bound for a fun time! If you’re looking for a neon DIY look these mason jars are perfect and 100 Layer Cake even walks you though how to make them here. Since Brooklyn Bride posted this fabulous neon tablescape September 12 I have been looking for a way to incorporate it into a blog! I love the lime runner and hot pink and orange accents on the plates and banquette. Make fun place cards with neon colored pencils, and don’t forget to set you cake on a bright cake stand. You could even put a fun flower on your cake for it to look like Candice’s shoes! Don’t forget that you’re the host and you must dress to impress. While I’m not suggesting you have a hand embroidered piece sent to you front India, try a statement necklace to tie you into your event. All you have left to do is have a happy VS Fashion Show inspired event!
