Easter Sunday Is On It’s Way

Posted on: 2 Comments

It’s the time of year that pastels are in, fabulous tables are set for Passover and Easter and every one is set to look their Sunday best for church.

Last night my Instagram feed was full of beautiful Passover tables from Mindy Weiss, Darcy Miller, Lo Bosworth and Lara Casey to name a few. While I don’t celebrate Passover like some of my wonderful friends, I do celebrate Easter and wanted to bring a little fun to the blog today!

If you haven’t been able to tell from past blogs, and the CLEvents branding color, I love coral so it only seems fitting to wear my favorite color for Easter Sunday this year. A couple of days ago I was able to score this adorable The Limited peplum dress for 50% off (they are still offering 50% off all dresses and cardigans)! Tomorrow I’ll be heading over to the fabulous Kendra Scott store to accessorize my new dress. Maybe I will use their fabulous color bar to create a pair like these in today’s board.

For Easter brunch how fun are these peaches in the centerpieces? I love the combination of  peaches with coral peonies and greenery. These precious little bunny place card holders from BHLDN have gold tipped feet, and I am a sucker for this pretty printed menu. I am addicted to dessert and these macaroons are the perfect compliment to the decor. In Houston my new favorite is Petite Sweets and in Tulsa visit Antoinette’s Bakery for your macaroon needs!

Happy Passover and Waster week friends!

Flattering or Flop Friday: Vol. 2

Posted on: 2 Comments

A couple weeks ago we started taking our Flattering or Flop Friday (FFF) image and bringing it to life. Today we are so excited about this inspiration board.

Today, we asked you if you thought this Chanel couture ring from the 1932 collection inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s original designs for diamond jewels would be a great engagement ring (let us know your thoughts here). We like to think it would be the perfect ring, so we have created the perfect engagement party; all Chanel inspired! We love everything from this fabulous Chanel dress and Chanel heels, to the soft floral arrangement and Chanel favors for your guests. Of course we also love anything wrapped with a Chanel bow!

We hope you have a fabulous weekend! Don’t forget to let us know if you think this ring is flattering, or a flop as an engagement ring!

Flattering or Flop Friday: Volume 1

Flattering or Flop Friday Vol.1

If you are our Facebook friend you know that every Friday is Flattering of flop Friday! So, I figured why not start blogging a fabulous look for our image! This week we featured this Lazaro gown that has a little ruffle, a little lace and a little bling and wanted to hear your thoughts about the look. (Head over to our Facebook fan page to tell us if it’s Flattering or a Flop.)

What do you think of our first FFF blog post? The orange light behind the gown brings Spring to mind and with the clocks springing forward this weekend we love  the warmth of this board! Fruit is our new obsession and we have a few brides loving orange this season! From the hanging chandelier to cocktail, cake and bouquet we are ready for spring!

Happy Friday and Happy Weekend!

PS Sunday morning at 2:00am don’t forget to spring your clocks forward one hour!

Happy Bright Colored Friday

Posted on: No Comments

I don’t know about you but Friday is such a fun day! We are  tying things up in the office for  rehearsal dinners and weekend events and it puts everyone in a celebratory mood. Today we wanted to share that fun with you, and  send something bright to our friends up north. We know there is a winter storm headed your way and hope this tiny bit of bright brings the sun inside.

I absolutely love this look for a bridal party, or even fashionista inspired Bat Mitzvah. If you haven’t noticed from my previous posts, I am a little obsessed with solid color dresses right now. The guest of honor would look fabulous in this hot pink gown with back bow detail. Flowers in shades of pink, yellow, blue and pops of orange would compliment the decor and bring a smile to everyones face. How fun is this cake, and don’t forget to give guests a sneak peek of what they are in for with a hot pink invitation with gold calligraphy! Of course we had to throw in a gold, glitter wand – because every girl is always a princess.
