Pumpkin Color Palette to Event: Vol. 1

Posted on: No Comments

Is it just me, or are you loving the wedding/event trends these days? I love that my clients want to think outside of the box to have memorable and gorgeous events! This week I am taking pumpkin color palettes and creating events from them; starting with today’s inspiration board that’s all about jumping outside of an event “comfort zone.” I love the baby blue and winter white that are paired with accents of gold and french grey. This event calls for an un-traditional bride in powder blue while her girls wear french grey (I personally love these bridesmaid dress because they are what my bridesmaids wore!). Gold accents on the cake and champagne bottle create beautiful touches. I would pull in the brides powder blue in the menus and place cards for a nod to the bride. Don’t forget a precious flower girl outfit! I love this one with her adorable headband, bow sash and chic color dress. What do you think of today’s pumpkin color palette turned into an event?

A Food Inspired Fall Wedding

Posted on: No Comments

I know Thanksgiving was just last week, but I had a migraine so bad that I didn’t get to enjoy a big Thanksgiving feast. While my hips are thanking me for the lack of added inches my mind is still thinking of all that sounds scrumptious! Instead of feeding my tummy I’m feeding my eyes today with this food inspired fall wedding. Doesn’t this vanilla roasted fruit bruschetta look amazing! It is the perfect color palate for a fabulous fall wedding. The trees in this yard make the perfect aisle; I am in love with the color orange on the leaves. This bouquet has the perfect blend of fun texture and fall inspired color, and Monique Lhuillier picked the most amazing coral color for this bridesmaid dress. Go simple with the invitation and linens; a piece of twine will go a long way as a subtle detail. Don’t forget to have your photographer snap some quite pictures of you and your new groom to remember the fabulous fall day.

Every Love Story

Posted on: No Comments

With the combination of a light drizzle and cooler temperatures here in Tulsa I knew where to find today’s inspiration. I love how every love story is different and non-traditional brides are taking charge of their day. The non-traditional feel of this board from the redhead bride to seafoam color bridesmaid dress is stunning. With brides stepping outside of the box I’m a big fan of this iced, chocolate cake and opal ring. Opt for a natural feeling bouquet in pinks and reds with a sweet ribbon tied around the stems. Carry the floral look over to the tables for the centerpieces. Make your grand exit in a vintage car with your man. I couldn’t resist including this good looking man in today’s post; hey why not?!

Plum Perfect

Posted on: 4 Comments

This morning I was on PINTEREST looking for my daily inspiration when I came across this awesome picture. The shades of mustard, plum and chocolate were the perfect color combination for today. If I were to do an event with this combination I would begin with these adorable invitations and choose bridesmaid dresses in mustard yellow. If you would like to use these colors for a spring wedding add in white to soften the colors. For the reception it’s all abut making a statement; keep the decor to a minimum and add pops of color in the food. In addition to your cake don’t forget these adorable macaroons! This inspiration board is plum perfect to me, what do you think?

Sucker for Seersucker

Posted on: No Comments

When I saw these adorable JUDITH MARCH seersucker dresses on PINTEREST last night (yes I pinned one on my wish list board) I just knew they would be the center of today’s blog post. How perfect would these be for bridesmaid dresses; in green, red and orange any combination would be swooon worthy! To set the tone for the entire wedding send out seersucker invitations like these from OH SO BEAUTIFUL PAPER. Pick a fun, but intimate, venue like a barn or even the beach and decorate with simple white blooms! Let’s not forget the handsome men in the wedding party; seersucker bow ties I think yes! Who’s ready for summer and seersucker? I know I am!
