Pumpkin Color Palette to Event: Vol. 2

Posted on: 2 Comments

What did you think of yesterday’s soft and fun color palette? Today we are turning the table a bit to line up with the more stereotypical halloween pumpkin. When I found this black painted pumpkin I knew exactly what to do with it! How fun are these great finger invitations! Whether you’re planning a halloween party, or halloween wedding this invite is a must! Pair that with this gorgeous Vera Wang gown and don’t forget the decor. I personally love these dried flowers and this table of candles for dinner. How fun would this event be? What would you serve for dinner?

I hope everyone in the east is staying safe as you recover from Sandy! The CLEvents Team wants you to know  you are in our thoughts and prayers! I also hope everyone has a Happy Halloween tomorrow! Katie will be here with a great How- To post for your holiday!

Take Me Back in Time

Posted on: No Comments

I am a sucker for soft pretty things, and if they are vintage it makes it that much better. This bride is simply stunning. I love her demeanor, gloves, hair, tiny bow details on her dress… what is there not to love. I would pair this bride was a striking, very Gatsby groom and put them in a fabulous clear top garden tented reception. With vintage keys for escort cards and luggage tags as a favor anyone would be silly to miss this wedding. What do you think about this theme for a wedding?

I’m a Kappa Alpha Theta

Posted on: 2 Comments

Call me a dork, but today I am black and gold through and through. Yes, I was a sorority girl in college and belong to the fabulous house of Kappa Alpha Theta. You may remember from my proposal blog post the Gamma Tau house at the University of Tulsa is where I met my fiancé, and where he proposed. So today’s blog post is all Theta! Kappa Alpha Theta was founded in 1870 as the first Greek-letter fraternity for women. We value our history and take pride in our four founders, who were truly visionary. Our vision statement—Kappa Alpha Theta is the organization that provides the finest and most rewarding membership experience—is based on our core purpose and values. Our purpose is to support members to learn, grow, and excel, and our core values are personal excellence, friendship/sisterhood, scholarship, service, and leadership. It was January 27, 1894 the first recorded mention of an event called “Founders Day” was held at the Alpha Beta Chapter (Swarthmore, outside Philadelphia). Happy Founders Day Theta’s! Put your best dress, gorgeous heels and great accessories on. Send out black and gold invitations, set the table and pop open the bubbly because over 100 years of celebrating our founders is worth it’s own blog post!

Classic Cameo

Posted on: No Comments

Is it just me, or is there something classic about a beautiful cameo? I love the simplicity and the sophistication of the small pieces. This dress is simply stated and what dress isn’t classic without a little lace. These beautiful black envelopes with white calligraphy set the tone for the wedding, and look at this beautiful ballroom! To add a touch of fun think over-sized balloons in the corridor leading to the reception hall. So put on your pearls and grab your bouquet pretty lady, it’s your wedding day!
